A house pet was rescued from a Wednesday afternoon house fire in Warminster, fire officials said.
The blaze was reported around 1:45 p.m. on the 200 block of Greene Road, the Warminster Township Fire Department said in a statement, with an initial report indicating smoke coming from a kitchen window. Mutual aid units from Willow Grove, Hartsville, Horsham, Northampton, Southampton, Warwick and Warrington assisted in extinguishing the fire.
“Each and every unit contributes to the overall success of an incident but we would be remiss if we didn't acknowledge the actions of Bucks 911 and Quint 10,” Warminster fire officials said. “During the course of the incident, Bucks 911 confirmed the initial reports of a trapped pet, directing searching units to a better location.”
