VIDEO: This is what Daniel Cress from Girardville woke up to at 2:30 Thursday morning: sirens as crews rushed to a fire just a block away from his home on B Street.
"It's scary because you don't know if somebody is in it or not, or if somebody got hurt," says Cress of Rangers Hose Company.
Just as crews knocked down the flames, two other fires started just down the road.
"They lit a garbage can on fire and then they went to the walking path up at the end of town and lit another fire."
Pennsylvania State Police ruled all three fires arson, putting residents in Girardville on edge.
"They're definitely going to be nervous. I mean it's like who's place is going to be next? It could be anybody's home."
The borough council president, Charles Marquardt says, "We're worried because we have other properties on that street that maybe nobody's living in that have garages and sheds and stuff like that, and that's throughout the entire town."
