A Lebanon County fire police officer was injured Thursday morning when they were struck by a vehicle while directing traffic, according to South Lebanon Township Fire Police. The officer, who worked with the Quentin Fire Company, was working at the scene of a vehicle crash in South Annville Township, the fire police department said on its Facebook page. The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a broken leg that will require surgery to repair, the fire police department said. "This is a stark reminder of how dangerous it can be directing traffic," the department said. "Please keep this officer in your thoughts and prayers."
