VIDEO: A celebration several decades in the making tonight in Lower Milford Township. The town's fire department hosted it's annual banquet, and made a special recognition.
The department honored Terry Miller for 60 years of service.
He's dedicated his life to protecting others — not only at the Lower Milford Fire Department, but he was also a member of the Forestry Service.
Now in his 80s, the department says Miller held every position except chief.
"Terry has been a member here for 60 years. He's had about every position possible in this fire company. He was one of the people who built this place and where it is today," said Lower Milford fire chief Richard DeFiore.
Tonight's banquet is hosted to recognize every member of the department... which is 100% volunteer-based.
