Dauphin County firetruck involved in crash while responding to call, company says

A Middletown firetruck was crashed into Thursday morning while en route to a Lancaster County house fire, officials said. A vehicle hit a Middletown Volunteer Fire Co. truck around 7 a.m. at East Harrisburg Pike (Route 230) and North Deodate Road in Londonderry Township, the fire department said. Firefighters provided immediate aid to the driver who hit the truck. The driver was then taken to a hospital for evaluation. The fire department said no firefighters were injured. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash.
