PHOTOS: Dauphin County fire crews were called to the 1800 block of Gramercy Place for a structure fire Saturday night. On arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames and smoke from the top of the Derry Township building. David Sassaman, PIO for the Hershey Volunteer Fire Department says four apartments were involved. Two were total losses, and the remaining two had water and smoke damage. No injuries were reported and the fire displaced six people, according to Sassaman. He added, that working smoke detectors alerted residents on the first floor, who called the fire department. Sassaman says the firewalls that were in place helped contain the fire. The PIO estimated damages at $700,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
