VIDEOS: Water rescues were being reported in Allegheny County as heavy rainfall hit western Pennsylvania on Thursday night, with more rain expected on Friday. Some areas saw between 3 and 4 inches of rain. The Allegheny County Swiftwater/Flood Response Team said water was as high as 5 to 6 feet in some parts of Oakdale. At least seven people were rescued Thursday evening. The National Weather Service issued a flash flood emergency for Oakdale and Coraopolis. The alert said, "This is a particularly dangerous situation. Seek higher ground now! Life-threatening flash flooding of low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses." On Clinton Avenue, Oakdale firefighters carried Janet Lee out of her home as a nearby creek started to overflow.
