Third-alarm fire tears through Jefferson County gas company building

VIDEO: Crews are on the scene of a third-alarm fire that broke out at a gas company in Jefferson County Thursday afternoon. While details are limited, WTAJ currently has a crew at the scene of a fire at Seneca Resources National Fuel Gas located at 51 Zents Blvd. The building has been deemed a total loss. The call came in around 4 p.m. and when the Pine Creek Township Fire Department arrived, it was immediately upgraded to a second alarm and then a third alarm. Pine Creek Township Fire Department Chief Brad Welsh said there was heavy fire and smoke due to explosions from propane tanks. He also said nobody was injured and the cause is under investigation.
