The state fire marshal is investigating after fire broke out inside of Grindle's Market in Vanderbilt, Fayette County on Friday morning. The fire was first reported a little before 3 a.m. at the business on the 900 block of Leisenring Vanderbilt Road. No injuries were reported though multiple fire crews were called to the scene. Firefighters described the scene of the fire as a “crime scene.” According to fire officials from the D. L. & V. Volunteer Fire Department, the initial call came in as a burglary alarm. Pittsburgh's Action News 4 saw the fire marshal investigating in the woods behind the store. State troopers were also on hand, working to review camera footage from the nearby fire station. The fire comes on the heels of a break-in at the market about a week ago.
