PHOTOS: Fire heavily damaged a single family home early Sunday morning on Chapman Avenue in Doylestown Borough. At 5:07 a.m., Central Bucks Regional Police reported a working fire and called for emergency response. Doylestown No. 1 Battalion Chief Lori Westover arrived on scene to find a two-story, single family home on fire with fire venting from the roof. Chief 19 Mike Wood arrived and established Doylestown Command. Engine 19 Capt. Nick Tartaglia arrived on scene and pulled a handline to the second floor for fire attack. Tower 79 Lt. Adam Bielemeier performed a search of the house, which was negative, and vented the structure. Due to fire conditions, crews evacuated from the structure and Doylestown Tower 79's master stream was used to “surround and drown” the fire.
