VIDEO: On Saturday, Kutztown Fire and Rescue is showing off some new sets of wheels in the way of new rescue and engine trucks. "The engine alone was custom built from start to finish that is 2000 gallons in a single axle," said Kutztown Fire Deputy Chief Joshua Young. They both have state-of-the-art safety features and better equipment. "We went with the rescue that had 750 gallons of water on it, where the old rescue truck had no water on it," said Young. It's a parade and homing, to officially dedicate the two new apparatus. But it's not just the brand-new ones they're showing off. A horse drawn tank from 1840 will make its way along the parade route too. Those are just a few of the trucks you'll see in the parade. "They can expect to see a multitude of apparatus," said Young. "So far, we have about 40 pieces of fire apparatus registered."
