PHOTO: More than 50 firefighters were on the scene of a fire and partial structure collapse near the 2800 block of Commerce Drive in Susquehanna Township on Wednesday morning, May 8. According to crews on scene, the collapse happened as a result of the fire in the new Triple Crown Corporation building which was still under construction. Crews said the initial call came in shortly before 5:30 a.m. for a “lightning strike.” The cause is still under investigation. According to Progress Fire Company Chief Michael Lawrence, no one was in the structure at the time. Chief Lawrence said one fire police officer sustained a minor injury when a vehicle drove over a fire hose while he was directing traffic. The officer is expected to be okay.
