The Coventry Police Department and Anthony Fire Department responded to Boston Street for a structure fire early Saturday morning. According to Coventry police, the department responded to the structure fire at 5:27 a.m. Fire department personnel arrived on scene to find the active fire and began to extinguish it. Providence Canteen was also on scene to provide assistance. All of the residents managed to the escape the house safely. Police say the fire was deemed suspicious in nature and as a result, an investigator from the Rhode Island State Fire Marshal's Office, along with the Town Fire Marshal and Coventry police were summoned to the scene. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
