The Rhode Island Department of Health on Tuesday reported 3,644 new coronavirus cases and 12 additional deaths.
The state confirmed 2,481 cases on Monday. The rest were added to previous days’ totals.
Monday’s positivity rate was 16.1%.
The state said 520 people with COVID-19 were being treated in hospitals in Rhode Island, with 40 the ICU and 30 on ventilators. Rhode Island has recorded 317,344 coronavirus cases and 3,200 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
