VIDEO: State police responded to a car fire on Route 4 north in North Kingstown on Sunday. Someone pulled over onto the median from the high speed lane at about 6:13 p.m. and got out of their car just before it caught fire, police said. An NBC 10 News viewer sent in video of the car in flames. North Kingstown firefighters assisted and were able to put out the fire in about 25 minutes. The driver was not injured. The cause of the fire was unknown. The car fire caused a temporary closure of both lanes.
