PHOTOS: A vehicle smashed into a Dunkin’ in Cranston on Tuesday morning. The Cranston Fire Department responded around 6:30 a.m. to the Dunkin’ location on Reservoir Avenue for the collision. The Cranston Police Department says the driver had his learner's permit and was learning to drive. Police say instead of putting the vehicle in reverse, the car went forward when the driver mistakenly hit the accelerator and went through the front window. The vehicle made it all the way to the front counter, police say. No injuries were reported. An NBC 10 news crew observed a vehicle had crashed into the storefront. The storefront is made up of glass walls, and shards of glass were seen over the dark-colored vehicle and all over the floor. The extent of the damage or injuries was not immediately known. Police say the driver did not show signs of being impaired.
