Six people are without a home after a two-alarm fire broke out in Providence Sunday afternoon. Fire Chief Derek Silva said 47 firefighters responded to 92 Ayrault Street around 1 p.m. and saw flames spreading to a neighboring home. No injuries were reported, but one pet cat died, Silva said. The American Red Cross has been called in to assist the two families. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
