Police said the crash happened near 200 Forbes St. East Providence Fire Battalion Chief Joe Crowshaw said they were called to a report of a car crash at around 8:10 p.m. Two vehicles were involved and the cars sustained heavy damage, Crowshaw said. One car had two people and the other car had three people. The vehicle with three people inside crashed into the utility pole.
