One car had two people and the other car had three people. The vehicle with three people inside crashed into the utility pole. According to fire crews, wires were taken down from impact, causing trees and the car to catch fire. Crowshaw said two people from a nearby house helped pull people from burning vehicles. Power outages were reported in the Riverside section of the city. Officials said speed was a factor as the cars had heavy damage.
