Chattanooga firefighters worked to extinguish a house fire on Chula Creek Road early Tuesday morning. It broke out just before 1:00 a.m. Chattanooga police say someone walking by noticed the flames and alerted the homeowners. Officials say at least two people were inside at the time, one being in a wheelchair, but were able to get out safely. When crews arrived they saw flames coming from the back of the house and on the roof. They quickly put out the blaze coming from the attic, then moved on to the rest of the house. The cause of the fire is unknown. Damage is estimated at $150,000.
