A Rockwood woman woke up Wednesday morning to get a drink and saw her vehicle burning in the driveway. According to the report, Rockwood Police Officer Kendall Mitchell was dispatched to 208 Dunlap Ave., at 5 a.m. to investigate a vehicle arson. “Once there, I spoke to Rockwood Fire Department employees who said the vehicle that was on fire appeared to be set by a unknown person,” the report said. “Upon looking at the vehicle, I saw profanity spray painted on the side of the vehicle and the entire interior of the vehicle destroyed by fire.” The report said the vehicle was a 2003 Mazda MWG. “I spoke to victim Anita Cunningham who said she had woke up to get a drink of water and could see her vehicle burning in the driveway,” the report said. “Ms. Cunningham said she had no idea who might have done this when asked by officers.”
