VIDEO: Some residents of a Knoxville apartment complex are requiring temporary assistance after a fire Monday forced tenants to evacuate. Knoxville Fire Department crews responded to a reported fire at the Cherokee Ridge Apartments on Woodlawn Drive for a reported apartment fire. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from one of the buildings and flames emanating from one of the units. The center hallway connecting all units was heavy with smoke, according to KFD.
