VIDEO: A home is destroyed after a Wednesday morning fire in Carter County. According to the Hampton Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department, they responded to a house fire at 2:43 Wednesday morning on the 600 block of Long Hollow Road. Carter County EMS transported to the home owner to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of burns to his upper body. No other injuries were reported. Firefighters were able to clear the scene around 5:30 a.m. The nearby roadway is now reopen.
