Sumner ranks among Tennessee’s counties with the highest confirmed COVID-19 cases — including more than 100 residents and staff at a Gallatin nursing home — and officials are “strongly urging people” stay at home as much as they can. Tennessee Department of Health data show 201 confirmed cases in Sumner County as of Wednesday, of the 2,683 confirmed cases statewide. That includes 24 deaths and 200 hospitalizations and 137 recovered in the state, according to the Department of Health.
