Johnson City Fire Department: All occupants out safely after condo fire

VIDEO: Johnson City firefighters are working a condo fire in the Woodstone subdivision. According Mike Hill, fire prevention officer with Johnson City Fire Department, crews were called to the scene at 8:46 p.m. Sunday. Hill said two condo units were heavily damaged in the fire. He told News Channel 11 that four people were in one unit and a man in the other. All occupants made it out of the building safely. No injuries were reported. As of midnight Monday, crews remained on scene putting out hotspots and “mopping up.” According to Hill, JCFD initially responded with three engines and two ladder trucks. Crews called for backup, and the night ended with three additional engines responding. News Channel 11 crews on scene reported that Washington County Johnson City EMS and Johnson City police officers also responded.
