Allison Spears was sworn in as a city commissioner for the city of Brentwood during the City Commission meeting Monday night. After the swearing in, Brentwood Fire & Rescue Chief Brian Goss introduced three firefighters who received promotions within the department. Tony Dixon, Lt. Jeremy Keopf and Lt. Tom LoSchiavo have all been promoted to lieutenant or company officers. The promotions were internal and came after the new Station 5 was opened in December. Each firefighter was pinned by their wives with a brass trumpet in honor of the occasion.
“This brass trumpet signifies their formal leadership,” Goss said. “To go from buddy to boss is not easy. I have every confidence in these three.”
Dixon is a 12-year veteran of the Brentwood Fire & Rescue Department, having achieved his engineer promotion in 2014.
