PHOTOS: Flames were visible on the roof of an apartment building in downtown Nashville Wednesday morning. The fire was reported just after 5 a.m. FOX 17 News arrived on scene where firefighters could be seen scaling ladders on the side of the multi-story apartment building located at 550 Rep. John Lewis Way North. No one was hurt by the fire. The Nashville Fire Department says that everyone inside of the building who wanted to evacuate has safely done so. They say that some people did chose to stay inside the building. Crews are worked to evacuated the building, especially the seventh, eighth and ninth floors to ensure that residents were safe. The Nashville Fire Department worked quickly to extinguish the flames on the roof of the building. Crews worked up the side of the building so crews could attack the flams from both sides.
