PHOTOS: Nashville fire crews had a unique task over the weekend. Crews rescued six kittens trapped in the engine block of a vehicle, Nashville Fire Department said. "Getting cats out of trees is a common request....but kittens in the engine.....that takes special skills," NFD wrote on their Facebook page. Crews gained access by removing several bolts from the grill of the car and then replaced them once the kittens were free. The kittens were placed in a warm box with blankets provided from the homeowners where the incident occured. They were left at the home until animal control arrived to retrieve them. "Our personnel saved one of the nine lives for each of these 6 kittens," NFD wrote.
