No injuries were reported after a fire broke out at a South Nashville apartment complex early Sunday morning.
The Nashville Fire Department (NFD) said crews were sent the 2900 block of Franklin Pike just before 4:30 a.m. to respond to reports of an apartment fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke and flames coming from a building. According to officials, incident command called for a second alarm to get additional personnel to the scene.
The Nashville Fire Department said crews were able to extinguish the blaze, adding that no injuries were reported at the scene. Residents from three units were displaced by the blaze. However, property management said they would be able to house the residents who were impacted, so Red Cross was not needed.
Fire officials are investigating the cause of the blaze.
