A car deliberately set on fire in Whitehaven set several homes ablaze Friday morning, according to the Memphis Fire Department (MFD). MFD said a car was set on fire around 3 a.m. on Laudeen Drive. Investigators said the cause of the fire was incendiary, meaning someone deliberately set the fire, and that the blaze caused $15,000 worth of damage. Two homes on Laudeen Drive caught fire as a result, MFD said. Nobody was injured in the fire, according to the fire department. FOX13 has a crew at the scene and spotted a large presence of MFD firefighters and Memphis Police (MPD). It appeared that the fire was put out around 7 a.m. FOX13 crews could see a damaged car inside of a garage on Laudeen Drive.
