Firefighters worked to extinguish a Kingston Springs brush fire that spread to a car and a nearby house due to the high winds. The Cheatham County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) said crews were sent to Anna Rebecca Court at around 4 p.m. Monday, March 25 for reports of a fire. A resident was reportedly burning leaves, but the flames quickly spread to a nearby car and into the basement of a nearby home due to high winds. Officials told News 2 no injuries were reported, but a family is unable to stay in their home for the night as smoke from the fire filled two rooms inside the home.
