PHOTOS: Crews battled a large house fire in Soddy-Daisy Wednesday afternoon, the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management says.
They say the fire was 70% involved when crews arrived, with flames reaching up to 30 feet. HCOEM says this is at a home on Bunker Ridge Trail.
Several propane takes exploded at the home, according to HCOEM. They say a neighbor frantically called 911 when they heard the explosions. Firefighters quickly entered the home, conducted an interior attack and confirmed heavy fire in the basement and the back side of the home.
Officials told our crew on scene that no one was injured. Mowbray VFD officials report the house is a total loss. Damages are unknown at this time.
