VIDEO: The Nashville Fire Department is looking to improve emergency response in the fastest-growing areas of the Nashville and Davidson County area with eight new squad response trucks. The trucks are meant to reduce response time and minimize wear and tear on a larger truck. The squad response trucks will be assigned to stations within the coming weeks. NFD personnel will continue to do hands-on training with the new trucks. “These Squad Response Trucks are a part of the NFD’s commitment to innovate so we can meet the changing landscape of Metro Nashville Davidson County,” Director Chief William Swann said. “I am looking forward to seeing how these new apparatus helps us serve the residents and visitors to our city.”
