At approximately 1:46 p.m. on Wednesday, emergency responders were called to the scene of a fire in the 1700 block of Judkins Street in South Wenatchee. Crews from Chelan County Fire District 1 and Douglas County Fire District 2 responded and discovered the blaze burning in dry vegetation on two neighborhood parcels. The fire had also ignited a motor home and was threatening two houses in close proximity as well. Chelan County FD 1 Chief Brian Brett told iFIBER ONE News the blaze appeared to have spread quickly through the dry overgrowth, as well as many piles of debris and other refuse on the property.
