A residence in the 7300 block of Autumn Park Drive Southeast was damaged by fire Monday night, according to East Olympia Fire District 6. That address is south of the Horizon Pointe neighborhood in Lacey. Fire crews were dispatched about 9 p.m. and discovered a fire that had started in or near the crawl space of the home, assistant fire chief Mark Nelson said. The fire then burned through the floor and spread to a master bedroom. However, fire crews were able to contain the fire to the bedroom, he said. The residents of the house and their pets were able to get out safely, Nelson said. The fire is under investigation.
