Two people were displaced after a fire severely damaged their South Eighth Avenue home Wednesday night, Yakima firefighters said.
Firefighters were called to 1602 S. Eighth Ave. around 7:30 p.m. Arriving crews found that the home’s two occupants got out of the house, and said there was no one else inside, according to a fire department news release.
The house had $100,000 in smoke, fire and water damage, the release said. The people living in the house are receiving emergency assistance from the American Red Cross, according to the release.
