Heading to the Gorge Amphitheatre this summer? The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has set up an alert notification system specifically for the concert venue. Gorge Alerts are available through the sheriff’s office Nixle mass notification system. Alerts may be issued for concertgoer safety and emergency information, such as incidents within the venue and campground, according to sheriff’s office spokesperson Kyle Foreman. “Gorge alerts were inspired by incidents that happened at the Gorge over the past several years, including a wildfire near the Gorge during the Sasquatch Festival in 2016 and two assaults at the Phish concert in 2018,” Foreman said. “In both instances, the awareness of up to 25,000 concertgoers may have been enhanced by information shared by the sheriff’s office.”
