A fire that burned a home in Leschi has been deemed arson, Seattle Fire officials said.
The fire broke out just at the two-story home just after midnight Wednesday morning in the 800 block of Lakeside Ave. South, said Kristin Tinsley with Seattle Fire. Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the roof and attic space.
No one was found to be at the home when firefighters arrived and there were no injuries.
However, investigators looking into the cause of the fire determined it was intentionally set, but no other details of how it was set or who might have set it have been released. Seattle Police are now taking over that part of the investigation.
Damage was estimated at $300,000.
