PHOTOS: Around 10:50 a.m., firefighters from Snohomish County Fire District 4 responded to 8300 Riverview Rd for a reported car off the side of an embankment. First arriving crews found a red passenger car off the road down an 80ft embankment with the driver still inside the car. With knowing the complex nature of the rescue, on scene crews immediately requested assistance from the Snohomish County Technical Rescue Team. South Snohomish County Fire and Everett Fire Department responded to the scene with specialized rescue vehicles and personnel. After constructing a complex rope system, rescue crews were able to bring the driver up the embankment, surprisingly his injuries were only minor. The reason why the driver left the roadway is still unknown at this time.
