Franklin County firefighters responded to a camp trailer fire early Friday morning. Crews responded around 1:30 a.m. to 9359 Sagemoor Road near Pasco. Franklin County Fire District 3 Chief Mike Harris tells KAPP-KVEW the fire was caused by a space heater placed too close to combustibles. One man, awoken by heat and smoke, escaped with minor burns to his face. He was treated and released on scene by medics. There was also minor damage to cars and outbuildings nearby, Fire Chief Harris said. The man did not have a working smoke detector, firefighters said. Franklin County Fire District 5 assisted with a water tender, and Pasco Fire also assisted with an engine.
