One of the restrooms at Howard Amon Park is closed after an arsonist set fire to toilet paper which caused extensive damage to the building.
The bathroom sits at the north end of the park. It is located near Sterling's Restaurant.
Richland Park Ranger, Jason Janosky, says the vandalism occurred Thursday night or Friday morning.
The damage is so bad that the restroom will be closed for at least two weeks.
Fire damage can be seen on the floors, walls and toilet paper dispenser.
Janosky says the inside will have to be cleaned, repainted and repaired.
Janosky tells Action News that this isn't the first time someone has set fires inside the many park restrooms.
Some restrooms are locked overnight but not all.
