The Pasco Fire Department are now keeping an eye on their parking lot after some firefighters had their cars broken into.
Sometime on Monday night or Tuesday morning, thieves broke into two cars in the parking lot of their fire station on Oregon Avenue. Several things were taken including an external hard drive, sunglasses, a medical kit and more.
"We already really don't get good sleep when we're here because we're always kind of on edge waiting for that next call, and now we got an additional thing that we're thinking about," said Dave Ferguson, Battalion Chief with Pasco Fire. "You know, we get up and go to the bathroom or get something to eat or whatever, you kind of peek out and look at the cars to see that we're ok."
This is a reoccurring issue at this station, Ferguson said. A few months ago – a similar situation. Other cars were broken into.
