First responders received calls from the homeowner around 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, with reports that their home at 17319 154th Way S.E. caught fire from a spark near the bathroom, according to records from the Southeast Thurston Fire Authority. Firefighters with Southeast Thurston were dispatched and arrived at the scene around 7:25 a.m. They were met with an 800-square-foot single-wide trailer home engulfed in flames. The residents reportedly weren’t able to grab much besides their cats.
