PHOTO: Yakima County firefighters were on the scene of a large garage fire on Sunday.
Just after 5 p.m. firefighters were alerted to the garage fire burning in the 200 block of North 84th Avenue.
The homeowner was treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns, according to Yakima firefighters. He was taken to a local hospital and has since been released.
The garage was fully-involved, and completely destroyed, causing an estimated $150,000 in damages.
Firefighters suspect the cause of the fire to be electrical.
The home attached to the garage was not damaged.
West Valley Fire Department firefighters also helped extinguish the blaze.
