PHOTOS: A former restaurant erupted in flames early Tuesday, sparking a response from multiple fire districts.
Crews rushed to the scene, in the 4500 block of "A" Street SE in Auburn, at about 6:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a fire in a commercial structure.
Smoke and flames were pouring from the building when the first firefighters arrived. The doors and windows were boarded up, making access difficult.
Crews finally were able to enter the burning building but backed out due to unsafe conditions and battled the blaze from outside.
Multiple units from Valley Regional Fire Authority, Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority and South King Fire responded. The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
