Two new wildfires are burning in northern Eastern Washington Tuesday, according to the state Department of Natural Resources.
The Anglin Fire broke out near Tonasket Monday night and had grown to 1,000 acres Tuesday morning. Firefighters don't have any containment on it and some evacuations have been ordered, though DNR officials did not provide specifics.
Meanwhile, the Green Fire is now burning one mile northwest of Synarep, Wash. It too began Monday night and has so far grown to 700 acres. There is 0% containment on that fire as well.
Firefighters haven't said how either fire started.
One wildfire that had been burning for a few days in Chelan County is just about out. The Colockum Fire is now 90% contained after burning just under 3,000 acres since Friday near Malaga. Local firefighters are now resuming the mop-up duties there.
