A family's dog died when a fire destroyed their home on Lake Tanwax Thursday evening. The two-alarm fire broke out just after 5:30 p.m. in the 33800 block of Tanwax Drive East near Eatonville. Photos from the scene showed flames reaching dozens of feet high as firefighters worked to douse the fire. All of the people inside the home were able to escape without injury but firefighters found their dog had died in the fire. It's unclear how the fire started.
