About players of the women's soccer team from Yakima valley college who happened to be at the right place and the right time.
"I was jogging backwards," said Brianna Garfias, Yakima Valley College play soccer.
She described exactly what her and the rest of the women's soccer team were doing during soccer practice, Wednesday afternoon.
"I noticed a little girl crossing the alley way and I was like, 'that seems suspicious,'" Garfias told Action News.
Garfias said she heard screams of a woman.
With no time to waste, the team began sprinting across the street to a burning home.
"So then I saw smoke and right away I was like, 'coach the house is on fire,'" Garfias said.
Firefighters say six people were inside the burning home along South 16th avenue.
