One woman was taken to the hospital after fire broke out at a homeless encampment along Interstate 90 early Thursday. Firefighters and medics responded to the scene, along eastbound I-90 near Rainier Avenue South, at about 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports of flames spreading through the camp. Crews doused the blaze and treated one woman at the scene for burn injuries described as "minor." She was then taken to the hospital for further treatment. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
