Franklin County Deputies say Franklin County Fire District 5 crews responded to a structure fire in the 4000 block of West Sagemoore Road early Friday morning (Feb. 19).
The fire, about two miles northwest of the Country Mercantile (located on Highway 395) was contained but not before it consumed a number of hay bales, and killed four goats who were in the shed.
No one else was injured in the fire in the shed, and Deputies say there was no sign of foul play. No cause for the fire has been given yet, it is now under investigation. No other structures were affected.
