A Tumwater woman accused of arson outside Ellensburg earlier this year was sentenced to four-and-a-half months in jail Monday after accepting a plea deal on reduced charges. Cassandra Jo Funk, 33, pleaded not guilty at her arraignment on an accusation of first-degree arson. Authorities allege she set two trailers ablaze overnight on Jan. 5 after she left a man’s trailer where she had been staying for a few days. The pair had argued and the man told police she stormed out of his trailer, grabbing a bottle of vodka and a bottle of whiskey as she left. He later noticed “an orange glow emanating from the window of the trailer,” according to court documents, and went outside and found a tarp on fire on the roof of an adjacent trailer. He also said he saw Funk walking away carrying a propane bottle that had a torch on the top.
